For ALL Avizo Users:
For High School, Undergraduate, and Volunteer Avizo Users:
For Graduate Students, Research Associates, Faculty Members, and Other Salaried Avizo Users:
For 3D Printer Users:
For ALL Avizo Users:
- Requesting time at least one week in advance is highly recommended
- Check the calendar of your preferred computer before you submit a request:
- Please specify the COMPUTER (or tokens), DATE(S), and TIME(S) that you would like to request
- Time can be requested in 30-minute or 1-hour intervals
- Sign-up is limited to pre-approved operators
- If you would like to become an approved operator, please e-mail Dr. O'Brien
For High School, Undergraduate, and Volunteer Avizo Users:
- Workstations can be accessed from 8AM - 5PM, Monday through Friday
- Please note that your total request-able hours may be restricted to the number of hours allowed by your internship or managing research program
- For most High School and Undergraduate Users, this will be 20 hours per week or less
- Volunteers may request up to 4 hours per week
For Graduate Students, Research Associates, Faculty Members, and Other Salaried Avizo Users:
- On-campus use follows OSU-CHS Campus Hours:
- Monday: 6 a.m. - Midnight
Tuesday - Friday: 7 a.m. - Midnight
Saturday - Sunday: 9 a.m. - Midnight
- Monday: 6 a.m. - Midnight
- Weekend access is by keycard only (issued by OSU-CHS Campus Security)
- For off-campus use of Avizo/Amira:
- Check computer schedules before signing in
- Please try to keep remote use restricted to weekends and evenings
For 3D Printer Users:
- Check the calendar for 3D printer availability:
- Most 3D prints take at least 4 hours, so please schedule according to the following guidelines:
- Typically for a minimum of 4 hours
- Up to a full day
- The printing time estimated from model slicing or in the G-code (if available)
- Requests to print for greater than 3 consecutive days should be arranged more than a week in advance
